MLB/NFL Analyst

Ray Flowers has been a full-time fantasy analysist for the last 16 years – who has done that? – spending all his waking hours breaking down baseball, football and even hockey back in the day. For the past seven years, since the first day of the channel, he’s been on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio six days a week spewing opinionated analysis with his co-host Kyle Elfrink on the SiriusXM Fantasy Drive (Sirius 210, XM 87). Known for his analytical approach, Ray eschews pitching and quarterbacks early in drafts and isn’t afraid to predict outcomes that go completely against the grain if the data leads him there. When he’s not slaying Twitter with wondrous responses filled with charm and snark, or winning FSWA Writing Awards, he can be found watching a superhero flick, taking a swim or pounding vodka Red Bull’s into the wee hours of the morning.

Each week on Wednesday, Ray Flowers will break down the quarterback position. There are a handful of signal callers who you always can feel confident in starting. We know the names. At the other end of the spectrum, there are a handful of quarterbacks you should never be starting. We know that as well. It’s the twenty quarterbacks in the middle that really matter. Ray will review the entire position each week, letting you know which quarterbacks should be started and/or avoided on a weekly basis...

Ray's Ramblings - To the Finish
Posted by Ray Flowers on Thursday, September 20, 2018 - 12:03

As the season wears down, there is still plenty to discuss. Ray breaks down the return of Bauer, the dominance of Buehler, the struggles of Jon Gray and Cole Hamels, the underrated success of J.A. Happ, the continued greatness of Kershaw, the surprising success of Price and Anibal Sanchez, the recent dominance of Taillon, and two of the top arms in the AL in Severino and Snell. Offensively, there are the slowdowns of Aguilar, Andrus and Bryant. Cano continues to hit. Marte to hit and run (ditto Desmond). Piscotty is producing extra base hits. Rosario of the Mets continues his late push. McKinney has been solid while Puig has gone ballistic.
