Other teams projected for five or more runs include the Astros, Brewers and the Blue Jays are projected for five on the dot. If there is any chalk I am fading today, it is the Brewers, who are struggling offensively of late outside of MVP-candidate Christian Yelich and face a recently revived Matt Harvey.

Tuesday’s 14-game slate does not include the Red Sox-Yankees game since they were scheduled to play earlier this morning. Today, we have the toughest high-end pitching decisions we have had to make in a very long time. I posted a Twitter poll earlier asking who people were using today – perhaps the responders aren’t DK people and haven’t factored in Blake Snell’s salary there but through 230 votes, Snell was far and away the top option (41%) compared to Kluber (29%), Nola (20%) and Strasburg (9%). Many opt to go with the lowest-owned in tourneys so if you truly believe Strasburg @ MIA falls under the radar, you may want to pounce. He is nearly 2k less than Snell on DK, is coming off a nine-strikeout outing in Citizens Bank Park against the Phillies and has a swinging-strike rate of around 12% over his last two starts (though velo is down from 95 to 93 mph). Josh James will be the most popular SP2 punt to help fit offenses in and those using him hope he can at least provide 3x in cash and puts himself in line for a win by going five innings.

Not your typical Monday slate with 12 games and loads of offensive options, both with one-offs and on the stack side. The ‘Opener’ trend continues to spread throughout MLB with both the Twins (Gabriel Moya) and the Orioles (Sean Gilmartin) employing the strategy today. With no Indians, Yankees or Red Sox on the slate, DraftKings algorithm has priced up the Tampa Bay Rays, since they have a rare 5.6 projected run total facing rookie Adrian Sampson in Arlington. The Brewers and Blue Jays should have their fair share of hefty ownership today as well.

 Vlad's FAAB Values: Week 25
Posted by Vlad Sedler on Saturday, September 15, 2018 - 20:44

A bit different analysis on the pitching side of things this week as there are more than a dozen projected two-steppers who may be available in your leagues. I won’t be mentioning the likes of Kyle Hendicks, Jon Gray, Joe Musgrove and Zack Wheeler who are likely already owned in your leagues. If for some reason they are available, you know exactly what to do.

I’ve sectioned off the two-start pitchers of Week 26 below based on bid amount and volatility. Note that since we kicked the season off in the middle of the week and that half week counted as Week 1, we technically have 27 weeks of the fantasy season. Just two weeks remaining to nail down our league wins.

The third-to-last Friday slate of the season and just a few more chances to make some of that baseball money. Quite a few talented pitchers on the slate so that is probably why we have only three teams projected for five or more runs – Yankees (5.8), Cubs (5.1), Indians (5.1). Max Scherzer faces a tough Braves offense and is expensive, but grades out as the top raw points starting pitcher today. Noah Syndergaard has a tough matchup as well today, taking on the Red Sox in Fenway. Some of the sneakier stacks today include: the Rays against a hard-regressing Edwin Jackson, the Rangers against lefty Robbie Erlin and the Mariners, looking to follow up on yesterday’s offensive explosion against Matt Shoemaker.
