Tommy G

Founder/MLB & NFL Analyst

Tommy G, Founder of, is as close to a household name as there is in the Daily Fantasy Space, and if you follow him on Twitter (@TommyG) or Instagram (@TommyGDFS), you know he is not your normal fantasy nerd. Tommy spent the majority of his adult life as a Wall Street trader and educator, specializing in technical analysis and and daytrading Futures, but has now taken these analytical skills and applied them to his true passion, fantasy sports, to become one of the most decorated and definitely the most recognized DFS player in the industry.  The Godfather, as he is referred to as in the industry, began his DFS career in 2011 and has taken the fantasy world by storm over the past 6 years.  Tommy has career winnings well into seven figures, while managing to become one of the first DFS players to break into the mainstream media world, winning the 2015 FSWA Radio Show of the Year Award for his show on SiriusXM Fantasy channel with Jeff Mans. In addition to doing 3 hours a day of radio for the majority of 2016, Tommy also has been featured in countless articles on the DFS industry, including headlining a full page spread in the NY Post titled “The Men Who Make 6 Figures off Fantasy Football.”  He also starred as the main character in the first ever Daily Fantasy movie called Living the Fantasy, in addition to being featured in an HBO Real Sports piece regarding the industry with Bryant Gumble, when a watermain break cost Tommy a shot at 1 million dollars.   Recently, Tommy has partnered up with Michael Rapaport and Barstool Sports to do a weekly podcast on ITunes called "The Fantasy Football Follies," which in just it's 4th episode, broke the top 10 for Sports Podcasts on iTunes.

Tommy was the first DFS player in the industry to qualify for a live final in all four major sports (MLB, NBA, NFL & NHL) and has a total of 28 live finals appearances under his belt to date. This 2017 MLB season Tommy became the ONLY PERSON, of the millions of people who play daily fantasy, to secure the maximum number of entries into Draftkings and Fanduel's once a year baseball live finals, with a total of 8 entries between the two sites (5 on DK, 3 on FD).  He raked in over $300,000 in net winnings between the 2 sites for the 2017 MLB season, securing him as one of the top DFS players in the world for MLB.  He then followed that up with a monsterous football season in 2017 where he hit for $183,000 in week 4, qualified for both major Draftkings finals in Florida, and then put a beautiful bow on the season by kncking down 7th place in the Maimi final for another $200,000.

Tommy is a brash and raw personality in the industry, who has a cult like following.  As a former daytrader, The Godfather loves risk, and prides himself on his contrarian "all or none" GPP strategies, which have propelled him to multiple $100,000 days in NFL and MLB.  After spending the past 4 years working with some of the biggest companies in the industry, Tommy has now founded his own site,, where he will be joining forces with John Hansen to provide the most hard hitting daily fantasy content around, to pair with’s already epic seasonlong content.

Guys I think will be very highly owned, these guys tend to be better for Cash and you don’t want to use too many of them in GPPs… a couple is fine… but we need to separate in GPPs. These projections ARE NOT OFFICIAL, they are just my guess-timations. I tend to be very good at projecting ownership, so you can proceed with confidence. Ownership projections are based on DK pricing since it is the one that is messed up...

I just want to start by saying that I have never done more research than I have this week… I know we are 11 weeks in, but I just want to do a quick review of the season thus far. I know this is a “what have you done for me lately” league, but we can’t forget how we started and that this is a long season. The last 7 weeks have been more down than up, but I told you guys at the beginning of the season… I am a GPP player and out of the 17 weeks of the season, we only need like 4 monster weeks to smash the season (because on the monster weeks we are winning 3-5X and on a bad week we are losing 1X… do the math.) Unfortunately a lot of you LOVE the ballsy 5% owned calls that win us all the money (Julio, Ingram, Winston, etc.), but then you bitch when they miss… this is a marathon, not a sprint, and I have NEVER had a season in my life where we did not have extreme down periods, but you guys need to decide if you want consistency, or GPP upside… Kevin is the consistency guy with the cash game article… this article is the GPP upside article. I make calls that others are afraid to make and when we hit, we kill. When we miss, we get killed. I think we have just completed the death spiral and are about to close the season out like a boss! (Keep in mind, each of the last 3 years I started the season on fire, got cold (not this cold) and then finished the year with at least 1 $100,000 day in each of the last 3 years. Last year I had a 100k in Week 16 and another 90k day in the first week of playoffs. WE START STRONG AND WE FINISH STRONG… which is why I am hopeful this bullshit in the middle is behind us =). I am not making excuses here, I have not been good for the last month and a half… I will admit that… but hang tight guys, shit’s about to explode...
