Vlad's Hitter Breakdown - 9/13

A very straightforward five-game slate on DraftKings. On FanDuel, the slate starts a half hour earlier than usual as it will include the second game of the Marlins-Mets doubleheader. We will see the majority of traditional lineup builds include one of Clayton Kershaw or Eduardo Rodriguez with stacks of Athletics and Royals and some Red Sox and Twins mixed in. For what it is worth, I will be taking a stand against Twins hitters today based on Heath Fillmyer for a couple of reasons. Small sample size but Fillmyer has been a completely different pitcher at home (2.54 ERA in 39 IP) than on the road (8.72 ERA in 21.2 IP). Moreover, Fillmyer has allowed seven homers and a .380 wOBA to right-handed bats and just a .288 wOBA and one homer to left-handed bats. As we know, the Twins’ best hitters are lefties. Outside of that, I feel that the Dodgers-Cardinals game will be low scoring and will have that playoff atmosphere. Those are my two stands. Be sure to figure out your stands on this small slate so you can build today’s lineups with more confidence and a better path to profit.
