Benny's Daily Hoops - 2/13
Houston Rockets @ Minnesota Timberwolves Vegas: Rockets -3, 222.5 Rockets: 9th pace, 2nd scoring, 15th points allowed Timberwolves: 23rd pace, 6th scoring, 17th points allowed Rockets: Not an easy spot for the Rockets high powered offense here, but the total is still pretty damn big and they are projected for 112 points. This game and the OKC/Cleveland one are likely to feature the most points tonight. James Harden played bad last time these two teams met. In his defense, he was coming off a few games absence and did only play a little over half the game. He also shot just 3 for 15 that game and Jimmy Butler defense was a factor in that. I expect more minutes and better production from Harden, but the matchup is still very tough against Butler. Today is not the day to play Harden in cash. He is always worth a GPP look, but I would not be excited to use him there either. I prefer Chris Paul today f the two Rockets guards. He’s about $2K cheaper and has been awesome lately putting up 45-55 fantasy points a game. If Harden struggles, Paul has the softer matchup to exploit. CP3, Harden, and Clint Capela are the three guys with the most solid minutes that produce for the Rockets. The forward ranks are crowded with 5 guys who should all see minutes, which keeps me off of them all here. Towns has been better defensively, but that is still one of the weaker spots to attack this defense. In a huge total game like this and with the Wolves playing with size, Capela should be on the floor a bunch here.
