Thad's NBA Playoff Rundown - 4/15

The first day of this season’s NBA playoff run is in the books. The unpredictable nature of the playoffs was in full effect as early as the first game. There was a lot to like for the NBA fan, however, the NBA DFS terrain was far from smooth. We didn’t see as many tight rotations as we hoped to and the already scarce value did little to hold up their end of the deal. Apparently, no one told the San Antonio Spurs that the playoffs started so if you had any of them in your lineup you were watching reruns of “The Golden Girls” early during the day. I managed to pick up some winnings in a few single entry GPPs, but my cash games all had “goose eggs” next to them. I highly recommend limiting your cash game exposure, given the volatile nature of the playoffs. After constructing your lineups there’s a good chance you have a few guys in there that are “GPP by nature” (i.e., Al-Farouq Aminu). If you do opt to focus on predominately cash games, you should probably send me a few head-to-head invites seeing as how I’m “low hanging fruit”.
