 Benny's Daily Hoops - 3/17

Chicago Bulls @ Washington Wizards

Vegas: N/A

Bulls: 20th Pace, 26th Scoring, 7th fewest points allowed

Wizards: 11th Pace, 5th Scoring, 8th most points allowed

Jimmy Butler - With Wade now done for the year, Butler is back to being the main offensive threat. He struggled last time out, but we can excuse a poor offensive performance against the Grizzlies. He has faced Washington twice this year and put up 40 and 66 fantasy points against them. I am not using him in cash, but he is a viable tournament option.

Rajon Rondo - The price is jumped out, that is the bad thing. The good thing is with Jerian Grant out, he is seeing big minutes against and producing. He had about 40 in each of his last two games and that is very solid production for his price.

 Jefe's NBA Rundown - 3/16
Posted by Jeff Collins on Thursday, March 16, 2017 - 17:26

As always, the rundown is designed to give you an opinion on some different players or situations in the slate today. You need to be reacting to news throughout the day. Always keep an eye on Twitter for the most up-to-date information. The idea is not that you use ONLY players from this article to build your lineups, but rather ALL of our content and optimizer. If you’re trying to only use players under the “cash” section to build your cash lineups for instance, you’re going to have a hard time. Instead, use some of those players as building blocks and fill in around them.

Yesterday was rough. I only rolled one lineup out and had a ton of Hornets in my lineup, so I was dead right off the bat. I still think it was the right move, but when a team only scores 77 points and gets blown out, there’s no chance that they are going to be good plays. We should be able to bounce back today on a totally different slate. There’s a lot of value out there and it’s a really good slate for cash games. I’m going back to the old article format at least for now...

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas: Raptors -2.5, O/U: 208

Thunder: 7th Pace, 11th Scoring, 12 most points allowed

Raptors: 22nd Pace, 10th Scoring, 8th fewest points allowed

Russell Westbrook - I know this is a not an ideal matchup for him. I also do not care and neither does Russ. Utah was not an ideal matchup either and he hung up 75+ on them twice in the last two weeks. He also did miss value against Dallas and San Antonio by a little, but still turned in 65 and 50+ fantasy points in those games. It is tough to really call that a bad game, but that only highlights how good Westbrook has been.

Gonna keep this format rolling for now since it’s working really well for people...

So I just got back from the doctor and I have a 102 fever and strep throat, but luckily I am not on the radio or the show today and do not need my voice to write. I will, however, consider this my Flu game and apologize for the article being a tad shorter than my usual write up…but I honestly need to go to bed.

Charlotte Hornets @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas: Pacers -2, O/U: 203

Hornets: 17th pace, 14th scoring, 11th fewest points allowed

Pacers: 16th Pace, 19th Scoring, 15th most points allowed

Again, lots of good feedback and I know a lot of people had a good night last night so gonna still ride out this format and return to a commentary-style article soon! “Main Targets” are more of my cash game and possible tournament core plays, while the “Contrarian” category helps you find lower owned guys to mix into your tournament lineups.

Key Players Already Ruled OUT: Love, Korver, J. Harris, E. Turner

Detroit Pistons @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas: Cavs -8, O/U: 215

Cavs: 15th Pace, 4th Scoring, 10th fewest points allowed

Pistons: 24th Pace, 24th Scoring, 6th fewest points allowed

LeBron James – The King just had 67 fantasy points in this matchup a few days ago. Ever since Kevin Love went down, he has picked up his production across the board. LeBron has 64 or more in 6 of his last 8 games. He is scoring right around 30, grabbing 12 boards, and dishing out just shy of 10 assists per game right now. The production is elite and should continue, despite the tough matchup.

Iman Shumpert – I do not love the matchup, but the price I too good to ignore. Shumpert is still seeing minutes and still producing 20-25 fantasy points. That is not elite by any stretch, but it does make him a decent value option if you are trying to go stars and scrubs.

NBA Stacking on Fanduel - The Definitive Guide
Posted by Chris Raybon on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 - 08:33

Stacking has become synonymous with tournament lineup construction in DFS, but many unanswered questions remain as far as stacking in NBA DFS is concerned. I’m going to use a similar methodology from my popular NFL stacking article to find out the best way to approach stacking in the NBA so you can become truly ELITE at NBA stacking on FanDuel.

I’ll answer these four questions:

  1. What is the optimal amount of players to stack?
  2. Which players should you stack?
  3. Is it viable to stack players on the opposing teams?
  4. Under what type of game circumstances should we create stacks?

Lots of positive feedback about this format, so I’ll stick with it another day… but likely back to providing more of a commentary-style article tomorrow.

Bulls: 20th Pace, 26th Scoring, 7th fewest points allowed

Marvin Williams - He might be the most under-the-radar stud at the moment in the entire league. Marvin Williams has been playing some ridiculously good basketball and no one seems to care. With the injuries to Kaminsky and Johnny O’Bryant thinning the big man herd, he has seen 35+ minutes lately. In four of the last five games he has at least 40 fantasy points. That is over a 6.5X floor at his current price.
