 NBA Playoff Rundown - 4/30
Posted by Benny Ricciardi on Sunday, April 30, 2017 - 09:10

We only have a small two game slate for NBA today and let’s discuss it for a second from a long distance view. The total in the Celtics game is 20+ points higher than the one in the Jazz/Clippers game. That’s a big number. It also means we want as much exposure as we can to the Wizards/Celtics and not much to the Clippers/Jazz. The key to this slate with only two games is going to be nailing the right guy or two from the Jazz/Clippers.

Point Guard

Isaiah Thomas - So these two teams played four times this year. Thomas had no less than 40 in any of those games and hit the low fifties twice. He is also $2200 cheaper than John Wall and had better numbers in the matchup against him. IT2 is likely to be the leader for the Celtics again here and is a great play to pay up for.

Injuries: Rondo out, J. Smith/Mahinmi questionable

In the playoffs, you can play anyone that’s a solid part of the rotation, but this article will cover my favorite plays. Don’t feel like you can’t use someone that isn’t mentioned here. I think by now you’ve all got a good feel of the guys that are getting the usage and the minutes, so I’m going to talk less about that and go back to more of the style of article I wrote during the regular season.

Finding much to say about a three or four game slate is tough… and with only two games it’s mainly going to require a lot of luck to win a tournament or anything. However, we figured we might as well get something out for you guys anyway!

As Jeff has said, you can realistically play anyone who’s a solid part of the rotation. Even if a play is not listed here it doesn’t mean you can’t play them, they’re just off my radar for today. We get one of the deeper playoff slates with four games.

We get one of the deeper playoff slates with four games. Durant is the big question mark here. I’m assuming they sit him, but we probably won’t know. FanDuel has significantly tightened up their pricing for the playoffs...
