 Benny's Daily Hoops - 11/6
Posted by Benny Ricciardi on Monday, November 6, 2017 - 14:37

  • Vegas: Celtics -8, 204
  • Celtics: 26th pace, 23rd scoring, fewest points allowed
  • Hawks: 7th pace, 24th scoring, 26th points allowed

Celtics: The Celtics defense is amazing lately. This team can really shut down an offense and I was not surprised to see they have worked their way to the top of the defensive points allowed rankings. For fantasy though, we care about offense. This is an ideal pace scenario and the Hawks are weak defensively. The Hawks are giving up tons of point due to the faster pace. The Celtics are favored, and they should crush the Hawks. My problem is this game has a much lower total than the other two on the board and I struggle to find guys I love here. Kyrie Irving and Al Horford are the two best, but both are priced above where I want a piece of them at. Jaylen Brown has been awesome and Jason Tatum close to him as well. Brown has produced a little better and is a tad more expensive. I like both guys, but neither has elite upside at their elevated prices. The best plays here may be guys like Aron Baynes and Marcus Smart, more because of their prices than anything else. Terry Rozier would also be in play, but he has not really seen the upside games he was reeling off earlier in the year either. I think the Celtics win this one and likely win it going away, but in terms of fantasy production, I will not have much if any exposure here.

Benny's NBA DFS Cash Game Breakdown - 11/6
Posted by Benny Ricciardi on Monday, November 6, 2017 - 13:52

When Kevin Adams asked me to start doing a cash game write up, I said to him I wanted it to be a little different then what we already do. I did not want to just list players I liked, but I wanted to teach. I wanted to explain why I liked these guys and how I was going about putting them together to build a roster. A lot of guys are good with analysis, it just requires you to put in the work and the research. Not a lot of guys actually play night in and night out for years like the staff we have over here at Guru Elite does. Remember the hair club for men commercials back in the day? I am not only the president, but also a client? Well it’s the same thing here for DFS. We aren’t only giving out advice, we are playing these guys ourselves. With that being said, I can write up a laundry list of guys to play and 90% of them are going to be in the Nets/Suns game, so instead, let’s discuss why you want to go heavy on that game and how easy it is going to be to win by doing so.

 Jefe's NBA Rundown - 11/3
Posted by Jeff Collins on Friday, November 3, 2017 - 17:03

The rundown is designed to give you an opinion on some different players or situations in the slate today. You need to be reacting to news throughout the day. Always keep an eye on Twitter for the most up-to-date information. The idea is not that you use ONLY players from this article to build your lineups, but rather all of our content from other articles, to our cheat sheets and videos along with our projections algorithm and optimizer. If you’re trying to only use players under the “cash” section to build your cash lineups for instance, you’re going to have a hard time. Instead, use some of those players as building blocks and fill in around them.

Format: This is organized by positions listed on FanDuel since on DraftKings the multi-position eligibility makes it hard to categorize. If I think a play is specific to one site, I will note that with a (DK) or (FD) next to the player’s name OR in the notes section.

Chicago Bulls

Vegas: ORL -8.0, O/U 204.5

GUARDS: Kris Dunn is just starting to get his feet wet as a member of the Bulls and represent the best value play on the team tonight. Given his cheap salary across the industry, he’s viable in cash games and tournaments. Justin Holiday is also a viable target, however, with Dunn now in the mix his minutes can get pulled right from under him at any moment.

Benny's NBA DFS Cash Game Breakdown - 11/3

We wanted to add some more content to the NBA product and one of the places we felt could use some more discussion is our cash game plays for the day. Cash games should be the bread and butter of those trying to grind out a profit. With the prize pools becoming more and more top heavy, I find myself leaning more on cash games for consistent profits and using my GPP teams for the big bankroll boosts from time to time. We talk a lot about plays that can help you win a tournament, but many of those are a little too volatile for cash game play. We want the safety of nice floors here in cash, and you will see the names of some underpriced consistent producers on this list near daily. Let's take a look at some of the solid cash game plays on DraftKings today based on price and potential production.
