Indiana Pacers @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas: Pelicans -3, O/U: 210

Pacers: 10th Pace (T), 12th Scoring, 9th most points allowed

Pelicans: 10th Pace (T), 20th Scoring, 7th most points allowed

Jrue Holiday - The matchup is a solid one for Jrue, but the price is creeping up near where it should be. At $6K, he was a guy giving us upside on a regular basis. Not at closer to $7K, I still think he hits value, but may lack the tourney upside that made him so appealing.

Anthony Davis - Big men have murdered this Pacers team. Hassan Whiteside just went nuts on them last night as a good example. The Brow can light up anyone, but he is very interesting when the matchup is soft and the pace is elevated.

Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas: Raptors -8, O/U: 206

Raptors: 23rd Pace, 3rd Scoring, 11th fewest points allowed

76ers: 17th Pace, 26th Scoring, 13 most points allowed

Joel Embiid - Today is an Embiid day. The guy has been awesome, averaging about 1.5 fantasy points per minute, which is insane production. He is still only playing 28 minutes max, which is why I prefer him on FanDuel over DK where his price is a little bit higher.

DeMar DeRozan - Big time scorer this season keeps it going against a weak defense. I like him more for cash as he is too scoring dependent to expect triple double kind of output for upside at his price.

We’re dealing with a really short slate, so I’m going to provide a little less analysis and try to categorize players so that you know how I’m planning on using them. Tune into the show at 5PM ET to hear deeper analysis.

Point Guard

Memphis Grizzlies @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas: Cavs -13, O/U: 201

Cavaliers: 13th Pace, 4th Scoring, middle of the pack for points allowed

Memphis: 28th Pace, 26th Scoring, 3rd fewest points allowed

Marc Gasol is sitting this game out, which increases the risk of blowout exponentially. It also opens up a lot of minutes, shots, and usage for other Memphis players. The question is, who do we even want to use? The most expensive player on DraftKings for the Grizzlies is JaMychal Green at $5800, followed by Zach Randolph at $5100. Everyone else is dirt cheap. I say this because someone is going to score a few points, grab a few rebounds and play 30+ minutes even if they do get blown out. Someone at $4K is going to put up 30 fantasy points. We need to figure out who. Zach Randolph has not played over 22 minutes since his return from injury, JaMychal Green plays about 30 and puts up about 30 fantasy points too. He is reasonably priced. Tony Allen is playing about thirty minutes per lately and putting up just under 30 fantasy points. For a price under $5K, that makes a lot of sense for him. The other two guys I am willing to take a chance on are Andrew Harrison and Jarell Martin. These are my two favorite plays and the two cheap guys who could go 8-10X.

Always keep an eye on Twitter for the most up-to-date information. Point Guard Fade: Damian Lillard -- Really poor numbers against Paul in LA. Favorite Play: Kemba Walker -- Has had the red “Q” next to his name all day, but it looks like he should definitely play. I love how those red letters impact ownership, as we’re sure to see Walker lower owned than he would have been otherwise in tournaments. Kemba has gone from 37.7 DK points per game in October to 42 in November to now 33.2 in December, but I’m betting on it balancing out for him. Others: Dragic, Lowry, Beverley

Charlotte Hornets @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas: Pacers -2, O/U: 212

Hornets: 16th Pace, 14th Scoring, 10th fewest points allowed

Pacers: 9th Pace, 12th Scoring, 6th most points allowed

Nic Batum - Batum does a little bit of everything on the floor and you can see it in his production. Over his last six games, he is averaging 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. His price never really moves from that $6K range, yet he has returned 5.1X or better in five of his last six games. I like Batum for cash since he can help your fantasy scores in so many ways.

Cody Zeller - Zeller is dirt cheap and capable of putting up 30+ fantasy points for a price of $4K. Indiana has struggled against big guys for a while now, so the matchup is soft. Many are afraid he would lose time with Marvin Williams back, but Williams, Zeller, and Frank Kaminsky have all played good minutes lately and at a cheap price, any of them could make value. Zeller is my favorite of the 3.

Point Guard

Russell Westbrook - He is the likeliest high scorer with a probable triple-double in his future. Is he worth the price? On a shorter slate it is tougher for me to fade a guy this automatic, so for me he is not fadeable today.

Eric Bledsoe - Bledsoe is the best player and top fantasy producer on Phoenix. This is a solid matchup for him against the Pelicans and he should produce again. The price is not as friendly as it had been, but he is in a good spot for upside anyway today.

Tim Frazier - I do not know if Anthony Davis or Jrue Holiday play today. My guess is Davis does and Holiday doesn’t which means 30+ minutes for Frazier. He had another monster game yesterday with both out. I like him more on FanDuel where the price is a tad cheaper.
