DFS NFL Playoff Writeup: Super Bowl 53
Posted by Jeff Mans on Saturday, February 2, 2019 - 20:00

There is a song that I love from the Broadway musical Hamilton called “One Last Time.” The song takes us through the final days of George Washington’s presidency and how his exit would set a precedent for the country for years to come. It’s a similar feeling for me as I begin the final DFS NFL article of the season.

So maybe Super Bowl 53 won’t have as much historical impact as the end of the nations first presidency, but for us DFS players, it’s as close as it gets. This is our last chance to make that money in daily fantasy football this season. Or maybe just until the DFS AAF starts…stay tuned.

 Super Bowl LIII Vegas Report
Posted by Tom Brolley on Friday, February 1, 2019 - 12:30

Making final lineup decisions can be absolutely excruciating (clearly, you’re reading this article!). For the last decade, I’ve factored Vegas lines and player props into my final decisions when I’ve had particularly tough lineup decisions (of course, Guru projections are the top factor). I’ve decided I shouldn’t keep this info to myself any longer.

This article is designed to be a one-stop shop for everything you need to know about this week’s big game with a Vegas spin. Understanding what Vegas thinks will happen on gameday will help us make better-informed fantasy decisions. I’ll give my spin on each game in the “Brolley’s Report” section – which will focus on a combination of game scripts, trends, tape study and stats. I’ll also throw in my favorite player prop picks in the “Brolley’s Bets” section, available exclusively to Fantasy Guru Elite Football Betting VIP members (subscribe today).

DFS NFL Playoff Writeup: Championship Round
Posted by Jeff Mans on Sunday, January 20, 2019 - 18:59

There have been a lot of lessons learned this NFL season. One that constantly needs to be reinforced though is exactly what I was reminded of last week. Don’t let groupthink sway what you absolutely know. We put in a lot of work all week breaking down teams, players and matchups. We do this so that we can gain an edge on our opponents. Then what happens? Popular opinion makes its way onto social media, radio, podcasts and television. These opinions force doubt into our minds about the conclusions we’ve made independently. This is an exercise that occurs in so many areas of life, but in DFS, it costs us money.

Normally, I really dislike two-game slates for fantasy purposes, but this one is as good as it gets. For the first time ever, the top four offenses in the NFL are playing for the right to meet in the Super Bowl. These potent offenses offer us quite a bit of options in building lineups this week. Once again, I will be building multiple lineups this week and swinging for that GPP fence. Let’s get to it!!

As always, if you’re not sure about an acronym, term or stat, please refer to the DFS Glossary as well as the New Analytics in Fantasy Football Breakdown.

Well folks, if you thought choosing a team defense in NFL DFS was difficult during the Divisional Round, things won’t get any easier during the Conference Championships. These guys stack up very closely when compared to each other, so the name of the game can be summed up in two words, “home favorites”.

 WR Breakdown - Conference Championships
Posted by Vlad Sedler on Thursday, January 17, 2019 - 15:10

Can’t recall ever being this excited about a day of playoff football and I’m guessing you’re in the same boat. We ended up with the NFL’s four best regular season teams and the matchups couldn’t be anymore delectable. For DFS purposes, this is all tougher than we all think at first glance. Because on a two-game slate where we only have 10-to-12 options at wideout, anything less than the nuts just won’t cut it.

 RB Breakdown - Championship Round
Posted by Ted Schuster on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 - 11:00

The Rams used a two-headed monster last week at running back to run all over the Cowboys. The offensive line was fantastic but the match-up is tougher this week and they will face off against better coaching.
