The Sweet Spot - RBC Heritage
In order, I like DJ, Kuchar, Leishman, and Casey. DJ coming in at what might be the lowest ownership we’ve seen on him when he’s the clear-cut favorite means you probably should play him at some level. Kuchar has been a horse here over his career and always seems to play well on Pete Dye courses. Leishman looked gassed on the weekend at Augusta after hanging tough through 36 holes and makes for an interesting tournament play at relatively low ownership. Casey’s scrambling last week looked really bad so he’s the first one out of this pool this week.
- Dustin Johnson ($12,000 DK / $12,800 FD): 15-20% exposure –I know he’s only here because of the new sponsorship obligation, but he’s far and away the best player in the field, crushed Pete Dye courses over his career (won at PD’s Austin CC and has been playing better at THE PLAYERS). He can bomb it all around this course with an iron and his short game has been improving. I really like that we don’t have to commit 30-40% of our lineups to include him this week.
