 RSM Classic Preview
Posted by Taras Pitra on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 - 11:57

This week’s event is the final PGA Tour event of the calendar year (sorry Tiger, your event doesn’t count). The RSM is played on two courses, both are Par 70’s and the plantation course isn’t as prone to the wind as the Seaside course, but both will render low scores due to the easy to hit fairways and short rough.

OVERVIEW

There are two weeks remaining in the Race to Dubai Championship and for whatever reason, Tommy Fleetwood isn’t playing this week in South Africa. There is no cut this week, so make sure you’re aware of that prior to building lineups. Whether you’re playing cash or GPP, we should be focusing on building high ceiling lineups because outside of a withdrawal, everyone will be playing for four days.

 OHL Mayakoba Preview

OVERVIEW

Aside from Pat Perez, the winners of this event haven’t exactly been who we’d think would win a weak field event in Mexico. Fred Funk, Brian Gay, & Johnson Wagner have all won this event. Steve Marino, Brian Stuard (twice), Spencer Levin, Robert Allenby and Shawn Stefani have all come runner-up in this event in the past, none of them are bombers and quite simply put, probably putted their butts off to victory (or almost victory).

OVERVIEW

Third straight year at Carya GC and we’re starting to get some solid data at the resort course. As with most resort courses, accuracy isn’t necessarily a key stat to target as the course will be setup more difficult on the greens and players will be able to hit decent approach shots from short-ish rough. Speaking of the greens, they’re big, undulating and fast. Hitting to the appropriate side of the fairway off the tee is probably an underrated part of the off the tee game here than anything. If there’s any defense that this course has, it’s the water hazards which come into play on seven holes.

OVERVIEW Last year’s edition of the Shriners saw the DFS world’s adult child finally break through to collect his first win in a low scoring event due to windy conditions. As long as the wind doesn’t kick up again, I think the course plays more like it has in the past.

 Sanderson Farms Preview - 10/24

OVERVIEW

DraftKings wants more rake from us, so they’re running some pretty garbage contests for the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, MS this week.Ball striking reigns supreme at the CC of JM so we’ll be targeting players who do that at an high success rate this week. For the few that actually play in these contests, I can see the ownership gravitating towards the newer darlings of DFS – Sungjae Im, Cameron Champ and Norman Xiong (he’s actually really cheap this week in a really weak field).
