 UFC Fight Night 103
Posted by Michael Iurato on Saturday, January 14, 2017 - 17:00

Before we get into this breakdown I need to express something to my fellow Mafia members. Unlike other sports where you have many different options to hit the nuts, you really only have 24 options in most cases in MMA. So, one slip can ruin your roster. If I encourage to mix and match lineups in any sport it is this one. Don’t be mix and match on cards like this. These cards are total filler cards and can go either way. So, get creative and win some bread...

Not a ton of value on this card, so keep in mind you may have to slot in a pick that may have been picked as a loss to fill in a gap. Some of these fights are so paper thin that you are in the same situation as everyone else. You can’t fit them all, so choose wisely. We got to give a little to get on this card. Chances are, if you have a possible flier on your slate the rest of the world does as well. However, that flier may just bring you all the money if it hits. It’s the fight game and anything can happen. Let’s get to it! Ding… Ding…

 UFC Tournament of Champions Finale
Posted by Michael Iurato on Saturday, December 3, 2016 - 14:38

Greetings from Iceland y'all! I’m sitting in Keflavik Airport with my girlfriend waiting to come back to the states and get back to seeing some green on DK. She is shopping in the duty free looking for every excuse to buy something, including Icelandic beer for the dog walkers as I sit here and do what I do for the mafia. So let's get started from Iceland...

Well, this card is not a really good one at all. So I'm not going to spend a ton of time over analyzing stuff here. So many fighters are fighting for their future on this card. Will they be cut, kept, or buried in the ranks. Looking at this card, it just seems like a filler event. But hey, at least it’s a chance to win some green, right? All these fights are so up and down and it is really hard to dial in on many of them. But this is a wacky priced card, so all in all, if I am right with this then it can turn out to be a pretty sneaky GPP play card, because I have a lot of chalk with really good chances to lose. Let's get to it...

 UFC 205 FULL CARD
Posted by Michael Iurato on Thursday, November 10, 2016 - 17:00

Well, well, well… here we are ya’ll. UFC 205 is one of the most epic cards to date. Buckle up because you are in for a treat and a great night of fights. A few notes before we start.

Side Note 1: Rashad Evans was scratched from the card due to a finding in his MRI screening. Meeting and speaking with Rashad numerous times and knowing what a great individual he is outside of the cage, on behalf of The Fantasy Guru Elite family, we hope he can navigate through this situation and come back soon.

Side Note 2: I will be hi-jacking the Fantasy Guru ELITE Twitter page for the fight with round by round commentary. So for all of y'all that may have to work, have an event, or for any reason can’t watch the fights, spread the word and the People’s Champ has you covered.

Ok now let's start Chopping!

 UFC Fight Night 98

Alexa Grasso is making her UFC debut fighting on her home turf. Sporting a 4-0 record under the Invicta Umbrella, Alexa has a very dangerous and underrated striking game. She is very accurate with her strikes and doesn’t waste many throwing them to the wind. However, from the film that I watched, she can be hit. Facing a fellow striker, her chin is there for the taking. Lucky for her, Heather Jo Clark is the complete opposite. The BJJ Purple Belt was kicked right into Hell's Kitchen against a very tough Bec Rawlings and then against Karolina Kowalkiewicz...
