Atlanta Dream

  • Pace: (ranked #3 of 12)
  • Offensive Rating: (ranked #11 of 12)
  • Defensive Rating: (ranked #1 of 12)
  • Vegas: ATL -7.5, over/under 159.5

GUARDS

Tiffany Hayes $7.5K on FD/$9.7K on DK came through with a big game against Connecticut in her last outing, both in daily fantasy and in real life. In addition to scoring 36.6 fantasy points, she scored 18 real-life points, including a last-second shot that gave her team the win. This was her second-best fantasy outing of the season and second 30 fantasy point effort in her last four games. She missed her team’s only meeting against New York this season due to an injury, however, she looks ready to keep up her current level of production in today’s rematch.

Brittney Sykes $5.5K on FD/$6.4K on DK saw a dip in her fantasy production against Connecticut (13.8 fantasy points in 19 minutes), however, that’s not unusual for a player that comes off the bench. A bench role gives her a lower floor; however, she has a stable baseline level of production which is higher than you would expect from someone playing less than 20 minutes per game (played 20 minutes or less in each of the last six contests). Continue to use her as a source of salary relief, preferably in tournaments.

Dallas Wings

  • Pace: (ranked #2 of 12)
  • Offensive Rating: (ranked #4 of 12)
  • Defensive Rating: (ranked #5 of 12)
  • Vegas: DAL -9.5, over/under 169.5

GUARDS

Skylar Diggins-Smith @ $8.6K on FD has regained her status as an elite fantasy guard, with 50.9, 50.1 and 53.1 fantasy point outings in three of her last four games. One of those games was against New York (50.9 fantasy points). Expecting a repeat performance at this level is usually unrealistic, however, when it comes to Diggins-Smith it’s certainly within the realm of possibility. Her salary makes her tough to fit in cash game lineups, so consider her an excellent contrarian spend

Allisha Gray $4.2K on FD can’t come close to touching Diggins-Smith’s productivity, but she’s been a good source of value for most of the season. She’ll occasionally job a dud like she did against Los Angeles (4.7 fantasy points in 15 minutes), however, outings like she had against Seattle in her last game or closer to what you can expect on a nightly basis (22.7 fantasy points in 28 minutes). Continue to view her as a nice form of salary relief today.

GUARDS

Tiffany Hayes $7.0K on FD/9.9K on DK since returning from an ankle injury, Hayes has found it difficult to regain her usual level of consistency. Not so much with regards to production (27.7, 32.1 and 24.9 fantasy points in her last three games), but in terms of playing time (18, 33 and 23 minutes in her last three contests). She’s scored in double figures in all three games and should be back to playing over 30 minutes on a regular basis soon. She’s the most expensive guard on the slate, but she could easily be the most productive fantasy guard by a wide margin.

Brittney Sykes $5.0K on FD/5.6K on DK comes off the bench, so her minutes may fluctuate (less than 20 minutes in three of her last six games), however, her recent production rivals that of many starters (20.1 fantasy points or more in five of her last six games, including 30.3 fantasy points against Indiana). I like her as the source of salary relief in tournaments today.

Renee Montgomery @$4.5K on FD/5.8K on DK has been on a roller coaster lately, putting up 30.9, 8.0, 24.0, 13.7 and 21.1 fantasy points in her last five games. She’s played 32 or more minutes in four of those five contests, so court time isn’t an issue. Poor shooting has been the culprit, but when she’s feeling it she can flash a ceiling in the upper 20 – 30 fantasy point range. At her price that’s what you’re looking for in tournaments.
